   Arrive Port Blair, Cellular Jail and the evening show

   Land, drop bags, and spend the afternoon with the reason these islands are in every history book.

   ⚠️ Most flights land before noon. If yours arrives late afternoon, the jail moves to the last morning.

   Ferry to Swaraj Dweep, and Radhanagar for sunset

   Cross in the morning, and be on the best-known beach in the country by evening.

   • •Radhanagar Beach (Beach No. 7) — a long arc of white sand backed by forest
   • •Stay for sunset; the light here is the reason people come

   Elephant Beach, and the quiet end of the island

   Reef in the morning, and an emptier beach when the day-trippers have gone.

   • •Boat from Havelock jetty to Elephant Beach — snorkelling over shallow coral
   • •Optional in the water: sea walk, jet ski, glass-bottom boat
   • •Kalapathar Beach — black rock against white sand on the island's east side
   • •Free evening at the resort

   Back to Port Blair, and fly out

   ⚠️ Book the outbound flight after 2 pm. A morning departure means missing the last ferry window.

   • •North Bay — coral shelf reachable by glass-bottom boat, snorkelling and sea walk
   • •Return to Port Blair; evening at Aberdeen Bazaar

   Ferry to Havelock, Radhanagar at sunset

4. 4

   Elephant Beach and Kalapathar

   • •Boat to Elephant Beach for snorkelling over the shallow reef
   • •Optional water sports at the beach
   • •Kalapathar Beach in the afternoon — black rock, white sand, very few people
   • •Free evening

   Overnight — Swaraj Dweep (Havelock)

   ⚠️ Scuba can replace the snorkelling on this day for anyone who wants it — a discover dive needs no certificate.

5. 5

   Ferry to Neil, and the three beaches

   The smallest of the three, and the one people wish they had given longer.

   • •Ferry to Shaheed Dweep (Neil) — under an hour
   • •Bharatpur Beach — shallow, clear, the island's swimming beach
   • •Laxmanpur Beach — long and west-facing, the sunset spot
   • •Natural Bridge (Howrah Bridge) — a rock arch reachable at low tide only

   Overnight — Shaheed Dweep (Neil)

   ⚠️ The Natural Bridge is tide-dependent. Your driver will time the visit to the day's low tide.

6. 6

   Back to Port Blair and fly out

   • •Morning ferry to Port Blair
   • •Chidiya Tapu or the Marine Museum if the flight allows
   • •Airport transfer

Andaman for Two — a slower island week

4. 4

   A day with nothing in it

   Deliberately empty. Most island regret is about days that were too full.

   • •No fixed plan. Cycle the island road, read, swim, or dive again
   • •Vijaynagar Beach (Beach No. 5) if you want somewhere calm and shaded
   • •Your driver is on call if you decide to go somewhere

Andaman Underwater & Baratang — for people who want the harder days

   Arrive Port Blair

   Baratang: mud volcano and limestone caves

   The longest day of the trip, and the one people remember.

   • •Leave Port Blair around 3.30 am to make the first convoy through the Jarawa reserve
   • •Convoy along the Andaman Trunk Road — no stopping and no photography through the reserve
   • •Boat through mangrove creeks to the limestone caves
   • •Mud volcano at Jirkatang
   • •Return to Port Blair by evening

   Overnight — Port Blair

   ⚠️ Photographing or interacting with the Jarawa is a criminal offence. Phones stay away for that stretch. This is not negotiable and your driver will enforce it.

   Ross Island, North Bay, and gear check

   • •Ross Island — the ruins of the colonial capital
   • •North Bay for snorkelling and, if you want it, a sea walk
   • •Evening free in Port Blair

4. 4

   Ferry to Havelock, first dive

   • •Radhanagar for sunset

5. 5

   A full day underwater

   • •Two boat dives — Nemo Reef, Turtle Bay or The Wall depending on conditions and level
   • •Surface interval on the boat between dives
   • •Kalapathar in the late afternoon

   ⚠️ Dive sites are chosen on the morning by the centre, on the day's visibility and current. Certified divers can add a night dive.

   Elephant Beach, and a slower afternoon

   • •Optional jet ski, banana boat or glass-bottom boat
   • •Free evening

   Overnight — Swaraj Dweep (Havelock)

   ⚠️ No flying within 24 hours of your last dive. This day is deliberately shallow for that reason.

   North on the Andaman Trunk Road to Diglipur

   The long one. Ten to twelve hours, two vehicle ferries, and one of the least-travelled roads in India.

   • •Very early start to make the Jarawa reserve convoy
   • •Baratang — limestone caves and the mud volcano en route
   • •Onward through Rangat and Mayabunder
   • •Arrive Diglipur in the evening

   Overnight — Diglipur

   ⚠️ No photography through the Jarawa reserve — it is a criminal offence, and the convoy is timed and checked.

4. 4

   Ross & Smith, and Saddle Peak

   • •Boat from Aerial Bay to Ross & Smith islands — two islands joined by a sandbar you can walk across at low tide
   • •Snorkelling off the sandbar
   • •Kalipur Beach, and Saddle Peak National Park for anyone who wants the climb

   Overnight — Diglipur

   ⚠️ Ross & Smith needs a forest permit, arranged the day before. The sandbar is only walkable around low tide.

5. 5

   South to Rangat

   • •Drive south along the coast
   • •Amkunj Beach and the Dhani Nallah mangrove boardwalk — a turtle nesting beach in season
   • •Check in at Rangat

   Overnight — Rangat

   Rangat to Havelock by sea

   • •Ferry from Rangat to Swaraj Dweep (Havelock)
   • •Check in
   • •Radhanagar Beach for sunset

   Overnight — Swaraj Dweep (Havelock)

   ⚠️ The Rangat crossing is a smaller boat on a thinner timetable than the Port Blair route. If it is not running on your dates we route via Port Blair instead, and you lose no nights.

    Port Blair and out

    • •Morning ferry to Port Blair

• →Inter-island ferries are booked ahead on your dates — seats are released in blocks and sell out in season.
• →Indian nationals do not need a permit for Port Blair, Swaraj Dweep or Shaheed Dweep. Foreign nationals are issued one on arrival.
• →October to May is the settled season. June to September is the monsoon — cheaper, greener, and ferries are cancelled more often.
• →Mobile data is thin on the islands and can drop out entirely on Swaraj Dweep. Tell people at home before you go.
• →Neil is small and slow. If your group wants nightlife, put the extra night on Havelock instead — say so and we will move it.
• →Radhanagar has no shade at midday and the sand gets genuinely hot. Late afternoon is the better visit.
• →Carry cash. Card machines fail often outside Port Blair and ATMs on the smaller islands run dry.
• →Beachfront rooms on Havelock are limited and go first. The earlier we book, the better the room, and that is the single biggest difference on this trip.
• →The empty day on Day 4 is the point. If you would rather fill it, tell us and we will — but most couples are glad it is there.
• →Sunset is early in the islands, around 5 pm. Plan the evening around it.
• →Do not book a flight home within 24 hours of your last dive. Day 6 and Day 7 are built around that rule.
• →Baratang starts at 3.30 am. It is a genuinely long day and not one to put next to a dive day.
• →Bring your certification card and logbook if you have them — the dive centre will ask.
• →Diglipur is a genuinely long way north — the road day is 10 to 12 hours with two vehicle ferries. It is worth it, but go in knowing.
• →Hotels in Diglipur and Rangat are basic. There is no luxury category up there and we will not pretend otherwise.
• →Turtle nesting at Dhani Nallah runs roughly December to March. Outside that window it is a quiet boardwalk, which is still a good hour.
• →This route is best October to March. In the monsoon the northern crossings are the first to be cancelled.
